Inverse Days 2024
The Inverse Days conference is the annual scientific meeting of Finnish Inverse Problems Society. It is also part of the activities of the Finnish Center of Excellence in Inverse Modelling and Imaging as well as Flagship of Advanced Mathematics for Sensing, Imaging and Modelling (FAME).
Inverse Days date back to 1995 when the first meeting was held in Oulu. This year the conference returns to Oulu for its 30th edition, organised by the University of Oulu.

Schedule
The event will start at 11:00 on Tuesday, December 10th, and end at 15:30 on Friday, December 13th.
Tuesday, December 10th is a celebration day to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Inverse Days conference and the career of Prof. Emer. Valery Serov, on the occasion of him turning 70 recently.
Wednesday–Friday, December 11–13 will be the dates of the main conference.

Indicate in the registration form if you wish to give a regular 20-25 minute talk, a 3-5 minute lightning talk, or no talk.
Registration fee:
- 400€ for the 4-day conference (includes conference dinner)
- 330€ for the 3-day conference, excluding Tuesday’s celebration day (includes conference dinner)
The registration deadline is Friday, November 8th, 2024 for both the 3 day and the 4 day registration options.

The payment can be done as a wire transfer by November 8th. We cannot accept cash or payment cards of any kind. Wire transfers should be made to the account of the Finnish Inverse Problems Society:

Travel information
From the airport
Bus lines 8 and 9 travel between the Oulu Airport (Oulun lentoasema) and the city center.
Bus fares can be paid by contactless payment inside the bus, with the OSL app, or OSL travel card.
The airport is in fare zone B, so trips between the airport and the city fall into the “Lähi-B” option, which costs 4,05€.
Trips can be planned through the OSL website or with the app.
Taxis can also be found in front of the Oulu Airport. Note that OTAXI provides fixed prices to/from City Center.
From the train or bus station
The bus station and train station are less than 1 km from the venue, Lapland Hotels Oulu.
The distance is walkable within about 15 minutes, and several bus routes travel between these locations—see trip planning from OSL website.
There is also a taxi pole on the east side of the train tracks, beside the bus station.
Accomodation
